Biography

Kevin is the owner and lawyer at the firm. He is recognized as a leader in advising nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations around the nation and world and has worked in small boutiques and large firms in Colorado and Missouri for over 25 years. In addition to nonprofit law, Kevin has planned for estates ranging from simple wills for young single professionals to complex plans for families worth $300,000,000. Kevin frequently prosecutes trademarks and copyrights and has represented small businesses and Fortune 100 companies. He also has served hundreds of businesses and individuals in bankruptcy since 2000.

Kevin is a professor and lecturer of Nonprofit and Business Law at Evangel University and Sports and Entertainment Law at Southwest Baptist University.

Kevin has co-authored books published by National Business Institute on nonprofit and tax-exemption law, intellectual property, family limited partnerships in estate planning, and limited liability companies. He is a frequent lecturer to other lawyers and accountants.

Kevin is a member the Professional Advisors Council at the Community Foundation of the Ozarks and is frequently invited to inclusion on SuperLawyers®, and Lawyers of Distinction® lists. He has served on the board of many nonprofits including Bud’s Warehouse in Denver and Teen Challenge of the Ozarks. He has been the Chancellor (lawyer) at All Saints Anglican Church.

Kevin is an alumnus of Springfield Public Schools and has been married for over twenty-five years to the lovely Yvonne who is an RN at Mercy and is working towards her doctorate in nursing while teaching at Missouri State University.  They have three smart, creative, and beautiful daughters with whom much time is spent debating the use of the Oxford comma.  Kevin enjoys the arts and supporting Manchester United Football Club and the St. Louis Cardinals.
